Prayer for the Nations 11-9-22

Song at Midnight Posted on November 9, 2022 by JackieNovember 8, 2022

17 Though the fig tree doesn’t bloom, and there’s no produce on the vine; though the olive crop withers, and the fields don’t provide food; though the sheep are cut off from the pen, and there are no cattle in the stalls;
18 I will rejoice in the LORD. I will rejoice in the God of my deliverance.
19 The LORD God is my strength. He will set my feet like the deer. He will let me walk upon the heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 CEB

Prayer for the Nations 11-8-22

Song at Midnight Posted on November 8, 2022 by JackieNovember 8, 2022

28 We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
29 We know this because God knew them in advance, and he decided in advance that they would be conformed to the image of his Son. That way his Son would be the first of many brothers and sisters.
30 Those who God decided in advance would be conformed to his Son, he also called. Those whom he called, he also made righteous. Those whom he made righteous, he also glorified.
Romans 8:28-30 CEB

Just reminding myself of this on election day, in case those I want to win don’t. Or do. He does all things well, per Mark 7:37. And this place, after all is said and done, isn’t our real home. May each day bring us all closer to conforming to the image of Jesus. Then we can truly be the light of the world and the salt of the earth.

Prayer for the Nations 11-7-22

Song at Midnight Posted on November 7, 2022 by JackieNovember 6, 2022

Psalm 1 The truly happy person doesn’t follow wicked advice, doesn’t stand on the road of sinners, and doesn’t sit with the disrespectful.
2 Instead of doing those things, these persons love the LORD’s Instruction, and they recite God’s Instruction day and night!
3 They are like a tree replanted by streams of water, which bears fruit at just the right time and whose leaves don’t fade. Whatever they do succeeds.
Psalm 1:1-3 CEB

Prayer for the Nations 11-6-22

Song at Midnight Posted on November 6, 2022 by JackieNovember 5, 2022

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how will it become salty again? It’s good for nothing except to be thrown away and trampled under people’s feet.
14 You are the light of the world. A city on top of a hill can’t be hidden.
15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they put it on top of a lampstand, and it shines on all who are in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before people, so they can see the good things you do and praise your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-16 CEB

Prayer for the Nations 11-3-22

Song at Midnight Posted on November 3, 2022 by JackieNovember 3, 2022

36 “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 He replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind.
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: You must love your neighbor as you love yourself
40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
Matt 22:36-40 CEB

Prayer for the Nations 11-2-2022

Song at Midnight Posted on November 2, 2022 by JackieNovember 2, 2022

5 But anyone who needs wisdom should ask God, whose very nature is to give to everyone without a second thought, without keeping score. Wisdom will certainly be given to those who ask.
6 Whoever asks shouldn’t hesitate. They should ask in faith, without doubting. Whoever doubts is like the surf of the sea, tossed and turned by the wind.
7 People like that should never imagine that they will receive anything from the Lord.
8 They are double-minded, unstable in all their ways.
James 1:5-8 CEB

Prayer for the Nations 11-01-22

Song at Midnight Posted on November 1, 2022 by JackieNovember 1, 2022

1Timothy 2
First of all, then, I ask that requests, prayers, petitions, and thanksgiving be made for all people.
2 Pray for kings and everyone who is in authority so that we can live a quiet and peaceful life in complete godliness and dignity. 3 This is right and it pleases God our savior,
4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1Timothy 2:1-4
